Is Taking Surveys For Money A Smart Move?

Go to your favorite search engine and type surveys for money. The results are very interesting. Some offer to show you how to make money from doing surveys for money, in return for your payment in advance of course. Others explain why this is a ripoff. So what is real here? I don’t know for sure, but here is what I think.

I am sure that there are valid opportunities to earn money by doing surveys. I’m also pretty sure that for most of them the equivalent hourly earnings are quite low. One person spent considerable time experimenting with paid surveys. At the end she found that she had earned about 37 cents per hour.

There are plenty of sites that you can subscribe to. After you pay them, they will direct you to plenty of surveys that pay. The sites claim that it can be a lucrative pastime. I find this very doubtful.

Taking surveys can be a good thing, not supremely enjoyable for most, but sometimes worthwhile. I take them sometimes, usually not for money. I like providing information if I think it is for a good cause. Sometimes they enter me in contests for this, though I don’t recall ever winning anything.

I would never subscribe to one of the sites where you pay in advance. They seem fraudulent to me. It is possible to earn money working on line, but it hardly ever pays well, except for people who have special skills to sell. Working for little pay is still better than paying for a ripoff.

In conclusion, I think it is safe to say that taking surveys for money is not a good way to get rich. It may generate some income, but nothing to get excited about. As to the subscription sites, I think they are best left alone. If something seems too good to be true, it probably is.
